Organised by The Meeting of Minds Forum (the “Organiser), the Business Pitch Competition (the “Competition”) is a business competition with the objective is to create challenge that will encourage the young generations to provide, introduce and present their innovative business ideas to potential investors and/or wider target market. 

The following terms and conditions (the “Terms”) are binding throughout the entire duration of the Competition. By entering this competition, all participants (the “Participants”) is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these Terms and warrants that it meets the eligibility requirements. The Organisers reserve the right to disqualify, any Participant (as defined below) who is/are found to have violated the Competition guidelines and/or these Terms at any time and without any liability.  Amendments will be posted in writing on the MeMinds website



Any individual aged 18 and above (“Individual”), group of individuals (“Team”) or existing/proposed legal business entity (“Business Participant”) (Individuals, Teams and Business Participants collectively referred to as “Participants”), who has an innovative business solution to address economic and social issues in Asian and MENA region. 


By registering to this Competition, and by presenting his/her pitching material in a public forum, Participants are fully aware that his/her business presentation shall be exposed to the public audiences during the Competition. Participants should exclude sensitive or confidential information from their pitches and not include confidential material in Participants applications/submissions. Participants shall at all times release and discharge the Organiser from any form of confidentiality obligations resulted from the Participants’ public pitching presentation. 

The oral presentation and awards ceremony portion of the competition is open to the public at large. Any and all of the public sessions may be broadcast to interested persons through promotion and media which may include print, radio, television, social media and the internet. Any data or information discussed or divulged in the public session by Participants should be considered information that will likely enter the public realm, and Participants should not assume any right of confidentiality in any data or information discussed, divulged or presented in this session. 

Participants further confirm that a confidentiality agreement between a Participant and the judges, Organisers and/or audience members shall not be required for entering this Competition. Organisers shall be release and discharged on any responsibility arise from any confidentiality issues that may occur during the course of the Competition and will not be involved in any way with disputes arising therefrom




By submitting an application, each Participant agrees to the Organiser disclosing the Participant’s personal information to the Organisers, its sponsors, contractors and agents to assist in conducting the competition and communicating with Participants.



Each Participant acknowledges and agrees that the non-confidential elements of the submitted material connected with the competition, including publication of the business concept, name and logo can be used in the public domain on any websites and all other forms of advertising. 

The prize winner(s) must, at the Organiser’s request, participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the award. Winners consent to the Organiser using their name and image in promotional materials.




Each Participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Organiser from and against any liabilities, losses, damages, claims, demands, costs (including legal costs) and expenses arising in connection with any breach or alleged breach by the Participant of any representation, terms or conditions of registration or participation in the competition. 

You must register in advance; business presentation order will be determined by a random drawing prior to the competition; the maximum number of presenters is targeted for ten (10), but Organisers reserve the right to reduce or increase the number of Participants selected and designated as finalists, at their discretion. 




Organisers reserve the right to disqualify any entry, in its judgment, that violates the Terms of the Competition or is not aligned with the purpose of the Competition. 

Organisers assume no responsibility to ensure the confidentiality of any information disclosed during the Competition. 

This Competition provides the opportunity for Participants to present their ideas in a public forum. Participants register and participate at their own risk. 

Insofar as is permitted by law, the Organiser shall not be liable for any damage, loss or injury suffered by reason of registering and participating in this competition. The Organiser excludes liability for loss of income, loss of opportunity, personal injury and damage to property, whether direct or indirect, consequential or foreseeable due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise. 

The Organiser accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise. The Organiser has no control over telephone communications, networks or lines and accepts no responsibility for any problems associated with them, whether due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Organiser is not liable for any consequences of user error including (without limitation) costs incurred.





The Participant understand and agree that the Organiser, anyone acting on behalf of the Organisers, and the Organisers’ licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, the Participant entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Competition, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes, without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.
By submitting his/her application, any Participant represents and warrants that the content of the application is original and does not violate any third party’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. If an entry of any Participant infringes upon the intellectual property right of another, he/she will be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Organiser.
If the content of the entry is claimed to constitute infringement of any proprietary or intellectual proprietary rights of any third party, the Participant shall, at his/her sole expense, defend or settle against such claims. The Participant shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Organiser from and against any suit, proceeding, claims, liabilities, loss, damage, costs or expenses, which the Organiser may incur, suffer, or be required to pay arising out of such infringement or suspected infringement of any third party’s right.
Participants are fully responsible at all time for the protection of their intellectual property within the framework within their participation in the Competition.



Except where prohibited, as a condition of participating in the Competition, entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and all claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Competition or any prize awarded, or the determination of winner shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorneys' fees, and entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased. All issues and questions rights and obligations of entrant in connection with the Competition shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Republic of Indonesia and submit to the jurisdiction of the district court of South Jakarta.



Participants may incur costs while participating in this Competition and are responsible for those costs, including travel and accommodation expenses. 

The registration fee referred to herein shall be non-refundable. Under any circumstances, including but not limited to the cancellation of Participants for whatever reason.

The Organiser along with the judges and the committee has the sole discretion to disqualify and/or remove any individual or team for any reason that it deems appropriate before and/or during the pitch competition. All decision regarding an individual’s or team’s removal and/or disqualification from the pitch competition are final. 

In addition, the Participant agrees to accept the Judges’ decisions are final and binding.


The Organizer of the MeMinds MIDAS Champion Award 2019 reserve the right to modify or extend the deadline and announcement of the Competition due to the exceptional demand, to allow more time for the Organizer to send in the finalists of the MeMinds MIDAS Champion Award 2019. Such modification or extension shall time to time be available on MeMinds website.



The Champion of the MeMinds MIDAS Champion Award 2019 will receive a cash prize of USD10,000 only and 12 mentoring sessions with the Forum Co-Founder, MENA, Salina Nordin, over a period of 12 months from 12 December 2019 to 11 December 2020. The sessions will involve face-to-face and/or remote sessions over voice or video communication channels. The 12 sessions will include business advisory services to explore access to business opportunities, strategic partnerships, potential investments and global markets. Heritage Amanah makes no guarantee of any concrete outcome from the total prizes awarded to the Champion.
