Kemal Imam Santoso, M.B.A.

Director of Finance and Investment of National Social Healthcare Security (BPJS Kesehatan), Republic of Indonesia

Kemal has dedicated his 30 years of service in the financial services . He has been working with several major financial institutions .He has long standing tenure ranging from banking, insurance, investment and technology. He started his career with Citibank N.A. Indonesia , then become part of the team which build the foundation of consumer banking of Bank Mandiri, as Senior VP, since the early days of the merger. He was the key person in Bank Mandiri strategic initiatives of card business, electronic banking , retail investment, sales management  and bancassurance. His last position was Group Head of Wealth Management , the group which he built to serve high net worth customers. He lead the team setting up PT.AXA Mandiri, then served as President Commissioner . In the same period he held the position as President Commissioner of PT.Mandiri Manajemen Investasi.

 

He re-joined Citibank as Country Marketing Director then moved to VISA International as Deputy Country Manager.

 

His passion to serve the country, then brought him to PT.Askes, a state-owned enterprise which provided health care for government employees. He held the position as Vice President Director /Chief Information Officer for 5 years, completing his term in 2013. During 2013-2016 Kemal went back to private sector as President Director of PT.Peruri Digital Security, then President Commissioner of PT.Asuransi Reliance while also advising Creador Investment.

 

He was appointed by the President of Republic Indonesia in 2016 as the Board Of Director of BPJS Kesehatan (Social Healthcare Agency) as Director of Finance & Investment which he holds today.

Kemal graduated from Airlangga University and earned his MBA from California State University. He also attended various executive education programs of INSEAD, Stanford University and JFK School Of Government, Harvard.
