Dr. Anggito Abimanyu is currently Chairman of the Indonesia Hajj Fund Management Agency (Badan Pengelola Keuangan Haji/BPKH), an institution entrusted by the Indonesian Government in the management of the nation’s Hajj funds. A position he has held since 2017, before he began with BPKH, he was a Commissioner at Bank BRI Sharia, Indonesia between 2015 and 2017 and was also their also Chief Economist from 2014 to 2017. He was also previously the Chairman at the Fiscal Policy Office of the Ministry of Finance of Republic of Indonesia between 2003 to 2010, while also boasting experience at The World Bank in Washington DC from 1992 and 1994. Mr. Anggito holds a Bachelors Degree from the Department of Economics at Gadjah Mada University (Universitas Gadjah Mada/UGM); a Masters of Science (MSc) and a Ph.D, both from the University of Pennsylvania with domains in Energy Economy, Public Finance and Islamic Finance.
