Datin Maznah Mahbob
Partner, Finance and Investments of Strategic Swiss Partners AG, Malaysia
Datin Mahbob is currently Partner (Asia) for Finance and Investments at Strategic Swiss Partners AG, a licenced boutique management and financial advisory firm based in Switzerland .She is spearheading the Waqf Ilmiyah Foundation project in Liechtenstein, which is the first international waqf supporting intellectual assets primarily film content.
She is an independent member of the Board and Investment Committee of BIMB Investment Management Berhad, a Malaysian licensed Islamic asset management company wholly owned by Bank Islam .
She is on the Investment Committee for Healthbridge Capital, a fund managed by Healthbridge Investment Management , a licensed asset management company in Australia.
She is on the Board of Trustees of the Hearts of GOLD (Generating Opportunities for Learning Disabled) Foundation.
She is mentoring and advising select companies in the technology/IOT and social enterprises focussing on business modelling, achieving greater competitiveness and speed through partnerships across the value chain, scaleability through cross border partnershios and alternative finance.
Formerly she was the Chief Executive Officer of AmInvest, a multiple award-winning Malaysian fund management house managing funds of around USD 10b. Datin Maznah has been in the funds management industry for 30 years, after having been in Corporate Finance earlier in her career. She is a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK).
She has attended various postgraduate executive management programs including the Investment Management Program at Harvard Business School. Datin Maznah regularly speaks at domestic and international investment conferences. She also contributes articles to publications such as “Investing in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region”, published by Euromoney Books. Datin Maznah has been named in the TOP 50 among the Islamic 500 (in collaboration with Forbes) list of the most influential people in the World Halal Economy. More recently at the WonenI awards 2019 by Cambridge IFA, she was named among the Top 50 most influential women in global Islamic business and finance, and awarded the Special Award for long-standing achievement in global Islamic Finance
